WHAT DELETION MEANS

Data removed and retained

Deleted

Cleanup removes account access and personal profile information, legal acceptance, your active flying session, uploaded media including recovery quarantine, owned feed posts, spot and feed votes, favourites and notifications from the live service. Your own reports are removed. Reports submitted by other people retain their text, while the direct reference to your account as the reported author is cleared.

Comments

Your comments can remain in surviving discussion threads. Your account identifier and display name are removed and the author is shown as [deleted], but the comment text itself remains. Removing author details does not guarantee anonymity: the text can still contain personal information. Deleting a parent post or permanently deleting a parent spot removes its associated discussion.

Community listings

During cleanup, active spots are converted into generic Community listings. Coordinates, type, drone suitability, creation date, aggregate votes and activity contributed by other users may remain. The former contributor’s attribution, original spot name, description and media are removed, and the former owner gives up control of the listing. Retained coordinates or discussion text can still identify someone through context.

Pending spot removals

Account cleanup processes pending spot-removal requests without waiting for the rest of the seven-day restoration window. Unsafe or private locations are permanently deleted; other eligible locations become Community listings.

Processing and retained records

Cleanup runs in batches and may require scheduled retries. An accepted request or signing out does not by itself mean cleanup has finished. Restricted moderation, administrative audit and deletion-security records can still contain identifiers and are retained for up to 12 months. Devices and external services

Scouting pins are cleared on the device where you initiate deletion; ordinary device preferences remain. Provider recovery copies, logs, backups, support correspondence and copies already downloaded on devices are separate from live account cleanup. Other people’s independently written content is not automatically rewritten. Your Google account and videos hosted on external platforms are not deleted.

If retained content or a Community location still identifies you or creates a safety or privacy concern, email support@sticktime.online and identify the content or spot.

REMOVING A SPOT

Seven-day recovery period

Hidden immediately

When the server accepts a removal request, the spot is hidden and direct in-app reads of its original images are denied. Backend processing disables old download links and moves recoverable media into private quarantine; failures can delay that processing. The original data, removal reason and recoverable media have a seven-day restoration window. Restoration is available only through authorised Sticktime administrators before the deadline; there is no self-service restore control.

After the recovery period

Scheduled cleanup runs after the restoration window and can require retries. Unsafe or private locations are permanently deleted. For other reasons, coordinates, type, drone suitability, creation date, aggregate votes and other users’ activity may remain in a generic Community listing. In this spot-only removal process, the original attribution, name, description, media and owner comments are removed. Account deletion handles comments as described above.
